Rafael Muñoz-Carpena, Professor, Agricultural and Biological Engineering

Rafael Muñoz-Carpena is a professor of Hydrology & Water Quality at the University of Florida in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering. He received his PhD in Agricultural Engineering from North Carolina State University and has recently been active globally in researching environmental models, groundwater hydrology, water quality and monitoring, and hydrology and ecological systems analysis. Muñoz-Carpena is also the recipient of the 2008 UF/IFAS International Achievement Award, and has collaborated with other scientists across the globe, most recently on a research project in the Tempisque Basin, Costa Rica.
