Treavor Boyer, Assistant Professor, Environmental Engineering Sciences

Treavor Boyer is an assistant professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering Sciences, with degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Environmental Engineering (Ph.D. and M.S.) and the University of Florida in Chemical Engineering (B.S.).

His research interests include physical-chemical processes in natural and engineered aquatic systems, with a focus on studying the impact of natural organic matter. Boyer recently received an NSF Career award for his proposal, “CAREER: Sustainable Urine Processes through Integration of Education and Research (SUPER).”

His overall research goals are to elucidate the role of natural organic matter in physicochemical processes and to understand water quality and water treatment in Florida.
