James Jawitz and Jonathan Martin named 2014 Water Institute Faculty Fellows ,

Congratulations to Dr. James Jawitz (Soil & Water Science Department) and Dr. Jonathan Martin (Department of Geological Sciences) who have been awarded the UF Water Institute Faculty Fellow Award beginning in Fall 2014! The UF Water Institute Faculty Fellow awards program recognizes UF faculty who are making outstanding contributions to interdisciplinary water research, extension, or education programs as well was substantial contributions to the goals of the UF Water Institute. Faculty Fellows receive a salary supplement of $2,000 per year for a duration of three years.

Dr. Jawitz and Dr. Martin were recognized at the Faculty Fellow Awards Celebration on October 20, 2014, at the Keene Faculty Center, Dauer Hall. The 2014 Florida Climate Institute Faculty Fellows, Mr. Jonathan Dain and Dr. Jane Southworth, were also recognized at the event. On Wednesday, January 14, 2015, the Fellows will present seminars on their research programs as a part of the UF Water Institute Distinguished Scholar Seminar Series. Watch for the next call for Water Institute Faculty Fellows in spring 2015!
