UF Water Institute project featured in NOAA's U.S. Climate Resilience Toolkit ,

NOAA recently added a new Water Resources theme to their U.S. Climate Resilience Toolkit, which features an article about the UF Water Institute’s project in partnership with the Florida WCA. The article, Developing and Using an Index to Guide Water Supply Decisions, tells the story of Kevin Morris, the Science and Technology Officer at the Peace River Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority in southwest Florida. It details his journey to develop a useful index to determine the best time to begin pumping water from ASR wells. His choice to develop this decision support tool was in large part influenced by his participation in the Florida Water and Climate Alliance, a collaborative scientist-stakeholder network facilitated by the UF Water Institute and partially funded under a grant from NOAA.
