Welcome to the 6th UF Water Institute Symposium ,

Welcome to all speakers, presenters, sponsors, and guests of the 6th UF Water Institute Symposium! We hope you are as excited as we are to explore new water science, technology, and cultural, policy, and management solutions over the next two days. Together, we will learn and explore innovative ways to shape a sustainable water future for Florida and beyond.

Below is important information regarding registration, presentations, posters, parking, and allergies. Please read it carefully and contact the appropriate Water Institute staff member if you have any questions.

For Speakers:

Please arrive on site during the designated Registration time (7:30 AM - 8:30 AM on Tuesday) so that a volunteer or member of staff may pre-load your presentation into our system, in order to avoid delays during your session.

If you arrive late, or if you are only attending the event on Wednesday, then please visit the Reception Desk in front of the Grand Ballroom well before the scheduled time of your session so that we may upload your presentation.

We ask that you bring your PC-compatible presentation on a USB. The preferred file type for presentations is PDF, however as long as the presentation is compatible with Microsoft Windows, it should be satisfactory.

If you have any questions regarding your session or presentation, you may contact Lisette Staal.

For Poster Presenters:

Please arrive on site during the designated Registration time (7:30 AM - 8:30 AM on Tuesday) with your poster materials. Once you have registered at the Registration tables, you may proceed to Salons AE or DH, depending on your poster board number, to set up your poster. All posters should be set up no later than 10:00 AM on Tuesday.

Poster boards and push pins, as well as additional assistance, will be provided to you in the Salons from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM.

If you have any questions regarding posters, the Poster Session, or poster setup, you may contact Carol Lippincott.

For All Attendees:

Registration tables will be set up in front of the Auditorium on the 2nd floor of the Reitz Union from 7:30 AM until 9:00 AM on Tuesday. Should you arrive after that time, or if you are only attending the event on Wednesday, then you should visit the Front Desk in front of the Grand Ballroom for registration services.

If you indicated on your online registration that you require a parking pass, then you should have received a parking pass via email. If you think there has been a mistake or an issue regarding your parking designation, then please contact us as soon as possible.

All food provided at the Symposium is prepared on shared equipment, so if you have any serious allergies, we recommend providing your own food. However, major allergens should be noted on signs at the catering tables, for your convenience.

If you have any questions about registration, parking, or any other logistical matters, you may contact Mary Garvin or Megan Almaguer.

We look forward to your arrival at the 6th UF Water Institute Symposium!
