Towards a Global Reconciliation of Last Interglacial Sea Level Observations
Goals and Objectives

The goal of the project is to find a record of eustatic sea level change on glacial-interglacial timescales. To meet this goal, Dr. Dutton and colleagues will survey and date fossil corals from Seychelles, 900 miles off the coast of eastern Africa, during the last interglacial time period in order to determine peak sea level, which will then aid in inferring maximum retreat of polar ice sheets.
