Goals and Objectives
 
The overall project is coordinated by University of North Florida, which includes several sub projects. As the subcontractor to University of North Florida, this project addressed two of the priorities identified by the project workshop composed by experts, academics and representatives from the St. John's Water Management District."

The goal of this project is to understand the conomic importance of the St. Johns River (SJR) to Florida citizens.

The project objectives are:
  1. determine the economic value of recreation along the freshwater portion of the St. Johns River
  2. estimate the current and potential level and value of ecotourism in the St. Johns River.
